Government is hereby exempts the above establishments from the applicability of Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act,1946 for a period period of further five years from the date of publication of the is notification in the Official Gazette. The IT/ITES/Startups/Animation/Gaming/Computer Graphics/Telecom/BPO/KPO/other knowledge based industries establishments are exempted from the application of various provisions of the Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946, subject to the following conditions:

Each IT/ITES/Startups/Animation/Gaming/ComputerGraphics/Telecom/BPO/KPO/other knowledge based industries establishment:-

  1. Shall constitute Internal committee underSexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
  2. Shall constitute a Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) &GRC shall also empower to handle all types of complaints/grievances of employees within a reasonable timeframe.
  3. Shall intimate to Deputy Labour Commissioner and Commissioner of Labour in Karnataka for all cases of disciplinary action like suspension, discharge, termination, demotion & dismissal etc of its employees.
  4. Any information regarding services conditions of the employees of any above industrial establishment sought by the Jurisdictional Deputy Labour Commissioner and Commissioner of Labour in Karnataka shall be promptly and fully submitted by every employer within the fixed timeframe by the authorit
