Who is required to make Maharashtra LWF payments
Under Section 6BB of Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1953
Under Factory Act 1948/Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act 1948/Motor Transport Workers Act, 1961 small scale industries regulation certificate/contract licences issued by the Central Govt. and by State Govts., where five or more than five workers are working, are liable to pay contributions to MLWF. All shops, establishments, institutions, and factories are covered under this Act. It is therefore mandatory for the management of all to pay the employer’s and employees’ contributions before 15th July for the period of June and before 15th January for the period of December.
