Notification for Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 2024 – SGC Services

The Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board has recently issued a public notice as a reminder to all employers in the state to adhere to the amended Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) rates, effective from June 2024. The half-yearly contribution rates have been revised as follows:

  • Per Employee Contribution Rate: Rs 25

  • Employer’s Contribution Rate per Employee: Rs 75

  • Total Contribution: Rs 100

It is mandatory for all employers to ensure that these revised rates are implemented for their employees. The LWF is a crucial aspect of ensuring the welfare and well-being of workers in Maharashtra, and it is important for employers to fulfill their obligations in this regard.
