Dear all, We would like to bring to your attention Circular No. NDC/2017/UAN/Part/2729dated 21st November 2017 by which an open functionality is being provided at UNIFIED Portal through which any citizen can generate his/her UAN based on Aadhar. Any person has to fill in his Aadhar number and the person will get the OTP on the registered mobile number with Aadhar card. System will automatically fetch basic details like Name, DOB, Gender, Fathers name etc. and on the basis of fetched input from UADAI will generate UAN.
Employers at large can use this facility with the new joinees joining the organization and faces challenges in generation of UAN number. Even if the UAN number is being generated the problems being faced is w.r.t mismatch of information as per aadhar card leading to problem of non-compliance of KYC.
If the employer insists the new employee to generate UAN number by themselves through this functionality and provide the same to the employer for linking than 99% of the problem w.r.t mismatch and wrong feeding of the information will be solved as this will be an online aadhar verified UAN information
Please disseminate this information at large to all such persons who are going to become the member of EPFO for the first time and fresh UAN has to be generated for them and insist all such person to generate UAN using this functionality.
