Sexual Harassment expansion to private sector

Get link the update on the move of the Govt. to expand the workplace sexual harassment complaint portal to the Private Sector Employees also.

Government Expands workplace Sexual Harassment Complaint Portal.
Under The Sexual Harassment at workplace Act, 2013, it is compulsory for any organisation with 10 or
more employees to set up an Internal Complaints Committee for addressing complaints of sexual
harassment.
The Government has launched an online portal (She‐Box) on 7.11.2017, where the women who are
sexually harassed at their workplaces in the private sector can now lodge their complaint on the
Government portal. The Government had initiated this in July for Government employees and now it is
open for women working in the private sector, too.
Every complaint will be looked online and would be shared with the concerned organisation’s Internal
Complaints Committee.
The complainants will also be able to monitor the status of the inquiry initiated by the ICC.
